Stratford Aces Hockey Tournament Rules

November 9-11, 2007

Each team is guaranteed three(3) games. Teams in the Peewee A, Bantam C and Midget A & C have 1 ten(10) minute and 2 fifteen (15)minute periods- 10-15-15 stop time periods.  Teams in the Peewee B & C, Atom A & C and Novice C have 2 ten(10) minute and 1 fifteen(15) minute. 10-10-15 stop time periods.   No overtime in round robin play.

OWHA rules apply with the following addition:

** A fighting major or match penalty will result in automatic ejection from the tournament.

Points will be awarded as follows:   - Two(2) points for a win
                                                         - One(1) point for a tie
                                                         - No points for a loss

TEAMS ARE TO BE READY TO GO ON THE ICE THIRTY(30) MINUTES PRIOR TO THE START OF THEIR SCHEDULED GAME TIME.

Earliest possible start times will be Friday @ 08:00 am, and Saturday & Sunday @ 07:00 am.

There will be a three(3) minute warm up at the start of each game, which will start following the exit of the ice cleaner.

In the event of a tie in tournament points prior to the final games, the following criteria will be used to break the tie.
    - The teams record against each other.
    - If teams are still tied the team with the lowest goals against will advance.
    - OWHA rules apply.

In the event of a tie in games where a winner is required, there will be a five(5) minute sudden victory overtime period with one (1) goaltender and four (4) skaters.

If the game is still tied, a three (3) player shoot out will decide the winner.  The players must be identified prior to the game.

One thirty (30) second time out for each team will be allowed in medal games only.

A maximum of twenty (20) individual awards will be presented per team in the Final Game.

A maximum of nineteen (19) players, including two (2) goaltenders per team will be registered for the tournament.

A player's name must appear on the Team List that was submitted with the application form.

Referee's Decision is final and not subject to appeal or grievance.
